Superlegalisation of the documents issued in the Slovak Republic

Superlegalisation is necessary in case you intend to present an official document in a foreign country and it is not possible to apostille the document.

In most cases you will need an official translation. The price for such translation is usually 30 EUR per standard page (i.e. 1,800 characters including spaces).

On average, we have to legalise a document at 4 offices and pay duty stamps in the amount of 200 EUR.

Legalisation of the issuing office

The issuing body legalises the validity and accuracy of the document. Thus, the other offices may rely on the authenticity of the document.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will attach their legalisation to the document.

Most of the documents need to be officially translated.

Representative office

The document is subsequently legalised by the representative office of the country where the document is to be used. Such legalisation is called superlegalisation.

The validity of the Apostille or superlegalisation is not limited. However, check the required validity of the document itself in the country where you intend to use your document. In most cases, the documents are accepted with the validity period not longer than 90 days of the date of issue.

We do not usually need a power of attorney. If yes, we will notify thereof you in advance. The power of attorney is drawn up by our attorney-at-law.

You can collect the Superlegalised document at the reception or we will send it to you by mail free of charge. The price of the courier service in the Slovak Republic is about 15 EUR. We can send you a price offer for the delivery abroad.
