The Legalization Center provides an apostille for almost all types of documents issued in Russia.
The apostille is mostly issued on the original document, which is why a subsequent official translation is often required. The price of the translation is typically 30 EUR / standard page.

Requirements for an apostille in Russia
Russia acceded to the 1966 Hague Convention Abolishing the Requirement of Legalisation for Foreign Public Documents. Therefore, for the use of documents issued in Russia, higher verification (superlegalization) is not required, and an apostille is sufficient.
- An apostille can be issued on the original document or its notarized copy.
- It is not possible to apostille documents that contain foreign stamps or other markings. The document must also be in good condition, and the stamps present on the document must be clearly legible.
- The apostille certificate is a rectangular stamp. The information on the stamp is always filled in the Russian language, and the heading of the stamp necessarily includes the French title Apostille (Convention de la Haye du 5 octobre 1961).
Which Russian documents can be apostilled
- Birth certificates, marriage certificates, death certificates
- Educational documents (certificates, diplomas)
- Extract from the commercial register
- Court decisions
- Notarized copies of documents
- Notarized translations
- Documents with a notarized signature (powers of attorney, declarations, etc.)
- Commercial documents (articles of association, certificates of registration, tax registrations, etc.)
Specifics for individual documents
Educational documents
For diplomas, certificates, and other documents regarding education acquired in Russia, a notarized copy is usually apostilled.
It is sufficient to deliver the original document to us; we will subsequently arrange for its certified copy and the subsequent apostille.
Powers of attorney from a notary
The original document itself is apostilled. It depends on which state the notary certified the document in. The apostille will be arranged accordingly.
